Listen for the lone clarinet

Philosophy
As clarinet professor and head of the woodwind department at Montclair State University I am committed to guiding our next generation of performers and teachers. Former students have gone on to major conservatories and careers both nationally and internationally. My teaching emphasizes personalized instruction of the skillset all clarinetists must acquire within a supportive environment. Creativity and self-expression are fostered while remaining true to the long-standing tradition that we embody. Motivation to find the persistent dedication necessary for success is also a focus of my teaching. Students range in age from young children through working professionals, all developing and strengthening the fundamentals that allow their musical voice and artistic perspective to be expressed.
